Agricultural Advisory Committee

Over the years, Union Township has placed almost 1,200 acres in preservation. In recent times, two farms have entered the Farmland Preservation program.  The owners received over $9,000 per acre for their commitment to preserve the farms in perpetuity.  There is grant money available from the state which could be matched by both the county and the township to help preserve farms. If you own a farm with twenty five or more tillable acres, and are considering  putting  your farm in the preservation program, please contact any of the members of the Agricultural Advisory Committee listed below.  We would be glad to help you.
